• Welcome to my website! I am still gathering all of the goods for this site, so keep checking back!
• My name is Stacy, but I go by the stage name, Anastasia Rizing. I chose that name because Stacy comes from Anastasia and it literally means to "rise again." I feel as though it is appropriate for this time in my life as I launch back into the world of entertainment after taking time to raise my beautiful family.
• I have been a musician and actress from the time I was a young child, beginning in my father's recording studio as early as I could talk, and performing in professional musical theater from age 10 on. 
• I attended a performing arts high school in Florida focusing on musical theatre and then was one of five students chosen for the BFA in music theater from Florida State, one of the top 10 programs in the country at the time. I studied with some amazing people, but as I was there I also began to sing in bands in the evening and being someone who was raised by MTV and Broadway, I got the band and songwriting bug. After discovering the gifts I had in songwriting, I was not sure what to do. I had been doing music theatre for over half of my life at that time and I wanted to pursue other artistic avenues. I transferred to the FSU Opera program, but then decided to transfer up to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston to  purse more education in Songwriting. 
• During my time at Berklee I still worked in theater as an actress, originating roles for playwrights, and producing large theater and music events for charity. I ended up meeting some wonderful people forming a rock band with them called, Sifted. 
• Sifted caught the attention of Michael Sweet from Stryper and he produced our first and only full length album, "Painting Halos." We had fun playing the bar and coffee shops in Boston (though we were a bit loud for some venues) but like most bands do, we broke up when we all graduated from college. 
• I moved to Nashville and pursued songwriting- doing the rounds, hosting rounds, judging for the USA Songwriting Competition and attempting to find a publishing company that I gelled with. I was mentored by the late bluegrass and songwriting legend, Harley Allen, when I discovered that I didn't want to conform to what executives in the business wanted me to be, nor did I want to sell my art and my soul and bury myself in debt to make records. 
• So, I started building my own studio up and deciding I would take my time, raise my kids (I was married by this point) and do things my way. I taught myself how to produce the music I wanted, and engineer and master it the way I wanted.

 back in Boston and I have taught music individually and in schools and early childhood programs on and off throughout my adult life.

• I also got a Masters from Liberty University in Mental Health Counseling and work as a psychotherapist in my private office in Williamson County, TN.
